Accuride 1029 Center Bottom Mount Ball Bearing Slide for Drawer Depths 20-5/8" to 22-1/2" and Cabinet Interior Depths 23" to 24-1/2", 35 Pound Load Rating, 16-1/2" Travel

Rating 4.5 | 408 Reviews in the past 24 months | Our Item Number AC-102923

The Accuride Center-Mounted Drawer Slide is ideal for small drawers with side clearance issues, commonly found in furniture, kitchen, and utility cabinets. It features smooth steel ball-bearing movement, a front friction disconnect for easy removal, and a 3/4 extension for convenient access in tight spaces. With a 35 lb load capacity, it's well-suited for light-duty use. Each slide includes mounting hardware and installation instructions. To order, measure from the inside of the drawer front to the back of the drawer box, then choose the matching slide length. Ensure the cabinet’s interior depth fits your selected slide—if it’s too deep, the back can be blocked out to compensate. Two slides can be used to double the load rating

  • 4 of 5 Works Great June 20th, 2025
    by Adam from Murfreesboro, TN

It works as it should. I ordered the wrong length but it worked out. I would have had to alter it anyways. Very sturdy and slides perfectly.

    4 of 5 works where side slides won't February 28th, 2014
    by Kenneth from Corona, CA

I have been in the market for a solution to my kitchen drawer needs. I have one of those kitchens that look good on the outside but have apartment style slides (plastic center tab that hangs on a metal) it always falls off inside when the plastic wears off a bit or the drawer gets a bit heavy. My drawer boxes width is only half inch narrower (at the most) than the drawer casing (slot) which leaves me a quarter inch side clearance at most. The solution, undermount slides. The only ball bearing undermount slides in the market. Though it's designed for a single center mount per manufacturer, I didn't see why I can't use 2 (1 on each side) to carry the drawer evenly and avoid grinding the sides when the weight inside the box shifts from side to side. Installation was simple. Though I had to add a shim on the drawer box (an 8th of an inch thick wood, 1" wide and 4" long on each ends, front and rear) this is because the outer slide (that attaches to the drawer/cabinet webbing rubs on to my not so perfect drawer box bottom. I won't say it's warped or anything but it's the bottom of a drawer. Unlike the thick sides which remains flat and sturdy, the underside is a thinner wood that carries all the weight and it has a little give in it when you fill your drawers that causes the bottom center to convex a tiny bit therefore slightly creating a bit more friction than normal. I would suppose this will be more evident if you use only one and have it in the center where all the weight converge. I also had to cut the length of the inner part of the slides to fit accordingly to my drawer box. The lenght between the back wall and front drawer webbing (frame) is how to determine the proper length of slides needed. However, my boxes are a good 5" short to the wall. I either had to drill new holes on the inner slideto properly screw it on the box frame (ends) as suppose to screwing it on somewhere in between where the screws will protrude on the inside box and not screwed properly with the box's frame. I found a hole on the inner slide that will line on both ends and I used those rather than drilling new ones. Also by cutting the length of the inner slides it prevented my drawers to pull all the way out. Make sure you cut the front end, not the rear end. Back to installation, I used a tape measure, level and a square to properly align my slides. The truth is, I only ordered a pair to try. It took me a while to get it all lined, adjusted and figure the best way to cope with the discrepancies. When it worked like a charm, I ordered the rest for all my kitchen drawers and when it arrived the installation was a breeze. I prepped everything the way I did my first and it took me the same time to do 10 drawers as I did my first. Plan, plan, plan. Measure twice and cut or drill once. That's my motto. I gave it a 4 star since I don't see how this could be installed without adding a shim especially if center mounted. Also a built in limiter that could be disengaged so drawers don't accidentally pull all the way out would be nice for the price. Btw, I used free 1' paint sticks (stirrers) at Home Depot for shims and some would glue... perfect!

4 of 5 Drawer single center bottom drawer slide replacement. December 17th, 2014
    by Dennis from Gainesville, FL

I was happy to find a ball bearing bottom slide that matched our drawers. I chose to install two on each drawer in lieu of only one. Two are better in my opinion because the rather old fashion plastic side slides are not required and the weight capacity for each drawer is doubled. Bottom slides are in a horizontal position and by design do not have near the strength of side mounted slide which are in a vertical position. With two bottom slides there is much less deflection of the slide as the drawer extends open. I will say that you need to be a pretty good mechanic to install two bottom slides as they must be installed perfectly parallel to one another or they will bind as you open the drawer. In my case I made a jig to properly aliegn and install them. It is not surprising that a jig is needed. I noted that jigs are available to aid installation of side mount drawer slides.

    3 of 5 DIFFICULT SLIDE ACTION January 28th, 2016
by John from San Diego, CA

Slide action difficult after installation on bottom of drawer. Hat to use shims to position slide further away from drawer bottom.

    5 of 5 Drawer is fixed! June 4th, 2020
    by Wayne from BROOKFIELD, MA

Ordered the drawer slider after finding local big box stores no longer carry it. Install was straightforward and works perfectly. Being the silverware drawer it gets lots of use so very happy it is no longer a struggle.
