All you need is a 3/4" spade bit and a few common tools to install these locks. I used two locks to replace old ones and I installed two new ones...It took me less than an hour. Although there were very good directions I would have been able to figure them out quite easily without the guidelines. These locks were the best quality I have found for the price, and the price was considerably less than any other website I explored. The best feature was that each lock came with the parts for various applications so you don't have to buy a different lock for different doors.
