    This bracket would be a 5-star product except for the fact that the diagonal brace is NOT welded to the legs. It is inserted by tabs into slots on the legs. It will be sturdy as long as a weight like a shelf presses down on the horizontal leg, but if the weight were removed, the diagonal brace might fall out. It did fall out when I picked one of the brackets up from the packing material. I will keep the brackets because I'm going to screw the shelf to the horizontal leg, so the brace will always have weight on it. Just something to be aware of.

    I purchased the 22" brackets to support a 32" deep counter top. These are just what I wanted. Very heavy metal, good strong welds, and nicely painted. I'm confident that these will do the job.
