Well first thing the outside wood is broken, husband had to glue it back in place and clamp them to dry. Second we mis miss measured the cabinet I was going to put it in You need to measure the opening between the frame opening. Not the inside of the cabinet. I was able to use this in another 12 inch cabinet,

Nice product, solid build, easy to install. The extension is a tad short, the back of the extended unit is still partially in the enclosing cabinet (in my case the back of the shelves were about 2" behind the front face of the enclosing cabinet. The exact distance will vary depending upon enclosing cabinet type. It is worse for cabinet doors the front faces of which are flush with the cabinet frame (that is the cabinet door is recessed into the door opening), vs cabinet doors that are in front of the cabinet frame (not recessed). For doors that are recessed, the slide out unit has to be further recessed by the thickness of the door. I had recessed 3/4 inch doors, with what are called Euro style hinges (hidden hinges). The picture is misleading as it shows the unit fully extended with the back inside surface of the unit being flush with the front surface of the cabinet door of an adjoining cabinet. It cannot actually do this. Still its a nearly full extension, better than a common 3/4 extension.

It is what I expected. Rev-A-Shelf's products are always well-made. My only complaint is the instructions, which were quite spare.

Great product but unfortunately had to send it back due to my own inattention to detail when measuring! Exchanged for the 5" and will write my review when that one gets installed. Even without the install I can say you won't find better quality for the price anywhere!
