turned out fine ecept had to shave two prongs for them to fit. Our cabinet maker did the same thing when they were bought

In 1984 we did a new kitchen using these hinges to hold heavy laminated oak (whisky barrel} doors. They've sagged and broken ever since so to discover they're still made was perfect. My family and 25 doors thank you.

My kitchen was designed with face-frame cabinets using zero-clearance doors. The original Blum hinges have failed on more than half the doors, and Blum no longer makes a replacement. This Mepla product works well as a substitute, although some carpentry is also needed.

i was able to replace broken hinge by selecting new hinge based on picture, hinge design had changed slightly during past 10 years requiring minor modification to cabinet but i was able to get it to work

Very easy. The only part that was inconvenient was the lack of anchor attachments on the black plastic ring. My old Mepla hinge contained the anchor attachment. I was able to remove the old plastic ring with anchors from my old hinge and replace onto new hinge to secure the screws onto the cabinet door.

Our kitchen remodeling done in 1992 used these hinges. We had a couple of spares but I was not certain I'd be able to find more, as they are wearing out gradually. Fortunately, I was able to find Cabinetparts.com and with their online information was able to confidently order exact duplicates that fit exactly into the existing orifices/holes in the woodwork. Thanks very much for a well designed website that allows for confident online ordering.
