TEC 864- 1-1/2 Inch Overlay/108-Degree Opening Self (Spring) Close Hinge, Replaces Grass 830 Series, Wrap Mounted with 45mm Drilling Pattern

Rating 4.6 | 2,227 Reviews in the past 24 months | Our Item Number GHA3100

The Grass TEC 864 Series hinge is a top choice for face frame cabinets, providing durability, smooth operation, and easy installation. As a one-piece compact hinge, it simplifies installation by eliminating the need for a separate mounting plate. However, choosing the correct overlay is essential to ensure a proper fit and door alignment. In older two-piece hinge systems like the Grass 830 Series, the overlay was determined by the mounting plate, allowing flexibility with the same hinge body. With the TEC 864, the overlay is built into the hinge, meaning you must select the right one when ordering. To determine your overlay, check your existing hinge’s mounting plate for an engraved fraction (e.g., 1/2", 5/8") or measure manually by closing the door and measuring from the edge of the door to the edge of the cabinet opening. The TEC 864 features a self-closing mechanism, ensuring doors close smoothly and securely. With a 108° opening angle, it provides excellent access while maintaining a clean, modern look. For reliable, hassle-free performance, the Grass TEC 864 is a fantastic choice—just be sure to select the correct overlay for a perfect fit!

It was impossible to find this style hinge, even in the metropolis of Houston. Cabinet Parts had just what I needed and provided quick service. I did have to drill new holes in the door but then the hinge fit just right.

The kitchen cabinets we have are about forty years old and a couple of the self closing door hinges were getting weak. It was great that I was able to find new replacement hinges at Cabinet Parts that matched perfectly. The doors stay closed and look like new. Thanks. Frank
