Every day, an average of 15 people are newly diagnosed with ALS — more than 5,600 people per year. What can YOU do to help raise awareness?

ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks nerve cells and pathways in the brain and spinal cord and in later stages leads to total paralysis. The ALS Association is the only national non-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS.

A recent challenge sweeping the nation is the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge started by pro golfers to support certain charities. Once you do the challenge, then you nominate others to also take the challenge and/or donate to the ALSA.

CabinetParts.com, in its usual enthusiastic fashion, got management and staff together to take on our ALS Ice Bucket Challange. And with our usual David vs. Goliath attitude, we have challenged our manufacturer partners (Grass, Blum, Hera and Richelieu) to take up the gauntlet and help us in raising awareness in the fight against ALS.
