Mepla ACC 140 - 130 Degree Face Frame Hinge Replacement

Replacing the Mepla ACC 140 130 Degree Face Frame Hinge

Are you trying to find a replacement for your Mepla ACC 140 - 130 Degree Face Frame Hinge? We have put together this guide to make it easy for you. Grass discontinued this hinge which is also known as the MH11-186. Although there is no direct replacement, we have your solution.

Step One: You must determine the correct overlay. The ACC 140 had an overlay adjustment range of 1-1/32" to 1-1/8".

Here is a video to help you determine your overlay:

Step Two: Once the overlay is determined, the customer will need to fill the 35mm bore hole with bondo or wood and re-drill the 35mm bore in the correct position for the Grass and Blum Compact Style hinges (The Compact 33 by Blum and the TEC 864 by Grass)

  • The correct position will be 3mm from the edge of the door to the edge of the borehole
  • The hole will be 35mm in diameter and 1/2" deep
  • The bore hole can be in the same up-and-down location as the old hinge...just with the corrected setback

Step Three: If the customer has the overlay of 1-1/32" +/-, use the Grass TEC 864 Series hinge with 1" overlay, item number GHA2946. The adjustment in the hinge will allow for a 1/16" +/- adjustment.

Option B: If the customer has the overlay of 1-1/8" +/-, use the Salice, item number SH-CSR3199N.

Adjusting the hinge and base will allow for 2mm +/- adjustment.
