It might be good for laminate but is not that great for wood edgebanding, but it is greta for finishing the trimming of the edges after you use a router w/ a flush bit

I love the heft and look of the bronze plates. My only concern is with the mounting screws. For such a large plate and for security matters the screws are only 1/2 inch long. They would be easy to pry off. I have bought 1 inch screws, (the longest that wo
