Our Stud Mounted Floating Shelf Bracket by Federal Brace provides a low profile floating configuration with high weight carrying capacity for your shelving systems, work counters, and product display surfaces. The floating shelf bracket sports a 1/2" square rod for the support arm and 1/4" steel mounting plate. Finished with a durable flat black powder coat paint, this stud mounted bracket enhances your shelving system with a virtually invisible support. Our floating shelf bracket fastens to the support studs using 1/4 inch lag screws or lag bolts, and the 14" extended support arm will float up to an 18" shelf or work surface.

    We were looking for brackets to mount a glass bar over the end of a granite Kitchen island. These fit the bill perfectly! We were able to get a 10 inch projection from the island, and the style of the brackets perfectly complimented the contemporary full overlay cabinets. These are substantial and well made pieces of hardware. Service and shipping were prompt.

    These braces are heavy and strong, to support a granite breakfast bar. Even our contractor commented on how attractive they are, and that they are much more substantial than most he's seen. Shipping was fast. We are pleased.

    I ordered five white steel Freedom hidden countertop brackets - 14" at $70 each for a quartz countertop. They arrived on time, each individually wrapped in bubble wrap, but when I removed them from the wrap to hang them, 3 of the 5 had paint cracks and chipping at the curved/bent part of the brackets. I thought they were powdered coated; obviously not. I had to go ahead and use them because the templater was arriving next day. Disappointed about peeling paint on $70 brackets.

    The brackets were very nice. Painted well and appeared very strong. I opened the wall to mount them right to the studs. Lag bolted them in.. I put a 13" deep quartz counter on them and had about 1/16" sag. I put a 1/8" spacer at the ends of the brackets and it was fine. The counter is solid and I an very happy I purchased.
