The Hammam Lavatory Support by Federal Brace is designed to mount on the side of wooden wall studs with the support arm extending out and under a vanity or stone top. This support system comes in two sizes and finishes with an invisible or floating surface configuration. The 1/2" thick arm is placed 33" from the bottom of the 48" tall Hammam and is centered on the 24" tall Hammam. Both sizes provide 20" of support under a lavatory counter. Your vanity surface should not extend more than 4" past the end of the support. Place one bracket on every stud for the length of the lavatory counter. Federal Brace recommends using a vanity support that extends within 4" of the front edge of the vanity. Excessive overhang may cause significant force in a point load situation. Maximum load carrying capacity on vanity support brackets is 200 lbs. with 1/32 deflection.

    We were looking for brackets to mount a glass bar over the end of a granite Kitchen island. These fit the bill perfectly! We were able to get a 10 inch projection from the island, and the style of the brackets perfectly complimented the contemporary full overlay cabinets. These are substantial and well made pieces of hardware. Service and shipping were prompt.

    These braces are heavy and strong, to support a granite breakfast bar. Even our contractor commented on how attractive they are, and that they are much more substantial than most he's seen. Shipping was fast. We are pleased.

    3 of 5 Peeling paint on $70 brackets June 1st, 2021

    I ordered five white steel Freedom hidden countertop brackets - 14" at $70 each for a quartz countertop. They arrived on time, each individually wrapped in bubble wrap, but when I removed them from the wrap to hang them, 3 of the 5 had paint cracks and chipping at the curved/bent part of the brackets. I thought they were powdered coated; obviously not. I had to go ahead and use them because the templater was arriving next day. Disappointed about peeling paint on $70 brackets.

    The brackets were very nice. Painted well and appeared very strong. I opened the wall to mount them right to the studs. Lag bolted them in.. I put a 13" deep quartz counter on them and had about 1/16" sag. I put a 1/8" spacer at the ends of the brackets and it was fine. The counter is solid and I an very happy I purchased.

    I was able to find the exact hinge needed to replace broken hidden Soss hinges in a Martha Washington cabinet. The price was reasonable. It did take a while to ship out (ordered May 15, shipping notice June 2) but then arrived quickly once shipped.
