First of all, I made the mistake of not paying attention to the orientation of the mounting tabs. Of course I knew they mounted underneath a surface, I just didn't notice that they point in, not out. This does make sense for mounting a pencil drawer, but made installation a bit more difficult. The workbench that I was mounting them to had a nice metal flange on the side, so that gave me a good reference plane for one side. After some head scratching, what I ended up doing was clamping the drawer and slides (previously mounted to drawers) under the bench and tight to the flange. I then clamped a straight edge under the bench tight to the other side of the drawer & slides. Removed drawer and outer slides, marked, drilled, screwed & installed. Works well. Very well made slides, just made me think about how to install them. Not a bad mental exercise!

very high quality item, great price, fit perfectly. Use it to intall a pencil drawer under a desktop that had none. Has a nice click to close feel too.
