    My double door cabinet originally used a post mounted vertically inside the cabinet with a u-shaped friction clasp mounted on the door. Over the years the plastic deteriorated to point it no longer held to the post. This design of latch is far more secure and was easy to install. I could not find a suitable replacement latch at my local hardware store, these are much better design and work great.

    really meant for doors but I used it for drawer. Works great but had to counter sink the inside for the drawer for it to work.
