Why Choose LED Lighting

Why choose LED lighting?
The light-emitting diode (LED) is one of today's most energy-efficient and rapidly developing lighting technologies. Quality LED light bulbs last longer, are more durable, and offer comparable or better light quality than other types of lighting.
LED lighting has many benefits over conventional lighting :
- Energy Savings - Typically use about 25%-80% less energy than traditional incandescent, and a low-voltage power supply is sufficient for LED illumination.
- Cost Savings - Can last 3-25 times longer than traditional bulbs, giving you a lifetime of up to 50,000 usable hours.
Ecologically Friendly—LED lights contain no toxic materials, are 100% recyclable, and can help you reduce your carbon footprint by up to a third. - Durability - LEDs are extremely durable and built with sturdy, highly rugged components that can withstand even the roughest conditions.
- Operational in Extremely Cold or Hot Temperatures - LEDs are ideal for operation under cold and low outdoor temperatures
- LEDs do not burn out abruptly - Instead, they will fail by gradually dimming over time.
- LEDs produce minimal heat and stay cool to the touch, making them safe light sources in many environments. They are also great for illuminating heat-sensitive products such as chocolate.
- Design advantages - Fixtures tend to be very compact in profile and design. They don’t require additional ventilation space, making installing LED lighting just about anywhere possible.
- They look great - Undoubtedly, LED lighting is sleek and attractive. Give yourself a modern upgrade that looks great in any room.
LED lighting is available in three main configurations, determined by location, function, and style.
Tape Lighting (Ribbon) supplies continuous lighting, perfect for under-cabinet, cabinet interior, and ambient (background) lighting.
Strip/Stick Lighting is offered in different lengths and includes a housing and light diffuser. Individual units can be combined with direct-end connectors and/or “Jump” cables for custom lengths. Plug-in 120V and low-voltage lights, requiring separate power supplies, are available.
Spotlights, with a single light source, are generally used for display and effect lighting. They are available for recessed and surface-mount applications
Important Considerations:
Color temperature—Single-color lighting is offered in different K Values from Warm White to Daylight White. Tunable lighting allows custom setting of the color temperature, and Multi-color lights (RGB) can be adjusted to different colors and effects. Tunable and RGB lights often require a separate controller attached to the power supply.
Brightness-Low brightness: 200-400 lumens. Medium brightness: 400-800 lumens. High brightness: 800-1600 lumens. Ultra brightness: 1600+ lumens.
Power Supply (Transformer, Driver)
The power supply voltage and the light must both be the same, 12 or 24V. Simply defined, Voltage is the “Pressure” that pushes electricity. Due to this, 24V components are recommended on larger systems. The required power supply is computed by adding the total wattage of all fixtures connected to the power supply or multiplying the Watts per foot by the Tape Light length. If you intend to use a standard wall-mounted 120V LED dimmer, you must use a “Dimmable” transformer. Otherwise, plug-in Drivers can be used with a switch-controlled outlet to turn the lights on and off.
Distributors
For connecting multiple light leads
The voltage of the lights and power supply must match.
The “switch” function is required if you intend to use low-voltage switching
Additional Lighting Control - A Distributor with a switch function is required. Dimmers, Sensors, and Controllers can be easily added.
Connecting cables are used to join LED strips or connect to the power supply.
Extension Cables - To bridge gaps between connections or reach distant power sources.
