I purchased for the door itself and was able to use existing track I had. Door is solid wood and great quality. This exceeded expectations. If you were to use the track mechanism supplied it would require pretty strong skill set to install.

Very nicely put together and looks good once sealed and installed...rails were soft plastic and twisted a little but not a big enough issue to take away from the product..

Solid Tambour Door is beautiful. Since it was a retrofit, replacing an existing door, the track and dowel provided could not be used since I could not get behind the cabinet to put tension on the spring. Since I had my spiral track from my old door, I had to reinstall that track so the door would wrap properly when in the up position.

I had to replace a tambor door on an appliance garage in a house I built 15 years ago. The tambor unit I got here was of better quality than the one I replaced. I used small screws to fasten the plastic tracks instead of staples. I was able to trim the width easily on a jobsite table saw. I did use blue painter's tape though to prevent any splintering. All in all, it is a good tambor unit. The only thing I think they could improve is the plastic tracks. They could be a bit sturdier and allow for a little more overlap .
