These don’t slide well and make a sound like paper tearing. Is there something wrong with them? Do they need lubrication? These were intended to replace 20 year old ones and they’re not as good. I’ve bought other identical slides online and they were great: popped right it, slid flawlessly. Not these. I suppose there’s a possibility I didn’t align them perfectly but it’s not like I haven’t done this before. I’ve tried lubricating with silicone spray and grease but there was no improvement. The package was a little suspicious. Instead of each pair being individually wrapped (like my others) they were just thrown into a box. I’d guess they’d been removed from a larger pack. They weren’t damaged, just dry and stiff.

I had these installed by a handyman who generally does good work and it took him several hours to get the draw opening and closing. The initial pull takes quite a bit of force which is not great, then they work well and the soft close mechanism engages at the end if the drawer is closed quickly so it does bit slam. There may be a way to adjust this but with no instructions I would have to experiment & I'm not quite there yet. It does work so much better than the old slides that stuck half way.

I used these slides in a kitchen island cabinet with drawers. They are smooth working and were easy to install for a frameless cabinet. For those seeking directions, there are numerous YouTube videos that provide ample details, including at least one by Accuride. I also want to thank and praise CabinetParts for their service. The drawer slides arrived in a timely fashion. The little extra details, like including small (never seen one this small before), resealable plastic bags around the original screw packaging are the kind of unexpected above and beyond that delights. I am always losing/misplacing screws or small items from open packages, and these little baggies prevent that.

I make cabinets and normally build for blum undermounts, but i had a specific need for 8" sidemount drawers. I originally purchased some very cheep 8" slides off amazon. They felt a bit weak and wonky and one of them bent and jammed almost immediately upon install. I paid a few extra bucks to get these as a replacement. They work. The lesson, don't cheep on slides.
