by Jessica from La Mirada, CAI looked everywhere to find red oak floating shelves in this size. We took down an upper cabinet in our kitchen and replaced it with these shelves. They look great! We put a few coats of clear coat to finish the look. My only complaint is when we went to put the final screws on the top of the shelf, it splintered the wood. I think there could have been clearer instructions on how far these top screws should be drilled in from the wall.

I also found the bracket design to be very difficult to get tools and hands in the place to be able to attach them securely. Thought the provided hardware (screws) were pretty cheap too.

The drawer boxes are very well made and fit perfectly. But the holes in the back are slightly oversized, and I had to fill them with a bit of hot glue at assembly to make it work. Not a big deal, but should probably be drilled 6 mm instead of 1/4" .
