I ordered 4 pairs of 14" KV-8450FM soft close drawer slides for the project I am working on. The slides arrived very quickly and were easy to mount. There are several mounting holes to choose from, including slots, which make fine tuning adjustments easy. The only issue is that the rear mounting brackets are a separate item and are not included with the slide purchase. Be careful to order enough brackets, as they come in singles, whereas the slides are sold in pairs.

I spoke to a “professional” at cabinetparts.com, explained my dilemma with all pertinent facts given, and purchased these slides upon his recommendation. They cabinetmaker I hired to install them said they would not work and advised me to return them. I spent hours on the phone trying to get the return generated, left messages requesting a “real person” for help only to receives worthless emails. Once the return was processed I received much less on my refund and to be honest, it’s not worth my time to call back and go through the whole process again. Not only was the original advice incorrect, the overall customer service will ensure that I NEVER use this company again!

We've had these KV soft close drawer glides in our kitchen since a remodel several years ago and they're smooth as silk. I'm now getting them to replace some cheaper ones that are in the cabinets on a vacation home we own. They're worth every penny.

The glides are of a high quality it would seem, particularly when installed precisely. EXTREME precision is necessary for smooth operation. There is NO leeway in installation. If the glide is not ABSOLUTELY level and ABSOLUTELY parallel with the glides mate, it is very likely the drawer will not close; CERTAINLY not close properly, but possibly not even close at all. You MUST be a professional cabinet maker of an EXTREME DIY'er to use these successfully.
