These shims made for an easy install. The existing bore hole was not quiet deep enough to accommodate the Blum 39C. The shims provided just enough fill to allow a solid install. I had purchased a pack of 50 shims. I am not sure why the count for packaged hinges (60) is different from packaged shims(50). It would be nice if the count in the shim package matched the counts offered in the hinge package. At any rate glad I ordered the shims for this retro fit- save me a lot of time.

I bought these after much research and help from CPs to replace my discontinued Blum hinges that are currently on all of my cabinets and there’s a lot of them. The old hinges had a plastic component which is exactly the component that keeps breaking and the new replacement hinges are all metal so they seem very sturdy and I’m hopeful that they will last throughout the life of the house! (These replaced Blum 1/2 in Overlay Frame Cabinet Hinges )

It seems like the old style hinge on my cabinetry is obsolete. These new devices look to eliminate the failure point the old ones had, but their mounting is a bit different. After removing the old bracket, there are 2 screw holes to fill and one new hole to drill. Pretty simple to do just different. I wish they would make the pivot assembly and the mounting separately- that way the old bracket( a better mounting method, in my opinion) could be used.

Due to a server overhaul in our office, we lost a bunch of records on past orders from Cabinet Parts -- they helped us recover pre-2024 invoices and find the parts we needed without a bunch of searching through their product lineup. When local box stores were not able to help with obsolete hinges, the customer service representative quickly guided me in identifying what i had and then matched what was needed as a replacement. Outstanding service and recommended product. :-)
