TEC 5/8 Inch Overlay/108-Degree Opening Soft Close Hinge, Wrap Mounted with 45mm Drilling Pattern

Rating 4.6 | 2,227 Reviews in the past 24 months | Our Item Number GHA01995

The Grass TEC 863 Series hinge is a high-quality option for face frame cabinets, offering durability, smooth operation, and easy installation. As a one-piece compact hinge, it eliminates the need for a separate mounting plate, simplifying installation. However, selecting the correct overlay is crucial for proper fit and door alignment. Unlike older two-piece hinge systems like the Grass 830 Series, where the overlay was determined by the mounting plate, the TEC 863 has a built-in, fixed overlay. Choosing the wrong overlay can lead to misalignment, so it’s important to determine yours before purchasing. You can check your existing hinge’s mounting plate for an engraved fraction (e.g., 1/2", 5/8"), which indicates the overlay, or measure manually by closing the door and measuring from the edge of the door to the edge of the cabinet opening. The TEC 863 features soft-close technology, ensuring a quiet and controlled close every time. With its 108° opening angle, it provides excellent accessibility while maintaining a sleek, modern design. For smooth, reliable performance, the Grass TEC 863 is an excellent choice—just be sure to select the correct overlay for a perfect fit!

  • 3 of 5 NOT LABELED August 12th, 2025
    by William from Yorkville, IL

Received 4 bags of hinges quickly. Bags were not labeled and hard to see what was what for sizing. Called customer service but they were no help. Was told someone would call me within 1 business day. That did not happen. They are slow at answering emails so it took over a week to find out which hinge was which. Hinges work fine but the service is not there.

Fast delivery of order, good instructions, and the added feature that they are "self" soft closing. All around good experience.

5 of 5 Cabinet Hinges were perfect fit July 8th, 2015
    by Cheryl from Tampa, FL

Great help online and over the phone with measuring. The hinges came the next day and they were so easy to install. The slow close hinges are so much better than the "thud" I was listening to get louder over the years. So glad I found this company. Friendly and professional service!

Had bad hinge that door would not close all the way. Found similar hinge that replace old one perfect. Door now closes by itself. Shipping was super fast, like two days.
