These hinges are very easy to install I'm really surprised how easy it was to get everything lined up perfectly. They are so adjustable. I ended up breaking off the 8mm studs and just putting small screws through those holes, it looks like that is an option and I feel a little more secure knowing it's held with a screw. The studs break off very easily and there is a hole that will fit a small screw right next to it so I assume this is a viable option then you are not faced with having to align perfectly the 35mm hole as well as 2 8mm holes (maybe there is a jig for this I don't know. My only complaint with the hinges is they seem a little weak on the self close, like you really have to get pretty close with the door before it will take over. At first it was really bugging me but now I'm getting pretty good at getting it close enough and it's not as big a deal. Now I find myself accidentally slamming all the doors I have that aren't self close. Self close is the way to go and definitely worth a couple extra bucks for the luxury.

The part itself is fine, but it is listed by the manufacturer as being a replacement for a discontinued older version, part #1006-30 manufactured by Grass. The new hinge in unfortunately too close to being a match, but not a match. The screw holes for mounting the part are half a screw width wider than those for the original part, so they cannot be used, and the overlap makes drilling new holes impossible. You would have to patch the prior mounting holes and then attempt to drill new ones half overlapping your fill. Like I said, close but no cigar, so I only recommend these hinges for new applications where they would be fine.
