by James from Saugus, MAI purchased this item as a replacement for an older model. Alas, the mounting holes did not quite align with the older model. I will perform some minor metalwork and try to make do with it, because the hardware does do exactly what I want, but as a drop-in replacement for an older model, it's close, but no cigar.

by Bernard from Yorktown Heights, New YorkThe part itself is fine, but it is listed by the manufacturer as being a replacement for a discontinued older version, part #1006-30 manufactured by Grass. The new hinge in unfortunately too close to being a match, but not a match. The screw holes for mounting the part are half a screw width wider than those for the original part, so they cannot be used, and the overlap makes drilling new holes impossible. You would have to patch the prior mounting holes and then attempt to drill new ones half overlapping your fill. Like I said, close but no cigar, so I only recommend these hinges for new applications where they would be fine.
